Description
This was inspired by one of 's amazing drawings:
small-brown-dog.deviantart.com…
Though the technique this thing uses is verry different from their original idea. It uses antimatter containers. I follow the hypothesis that antimatter is repelled by matter-based gravity ( en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravit… ) also having anti-gravitons instead of "normal" ones (this can't be tested right now though, so this is just speculation). Small particle accelerators are used to slightly in- or decrease the amount of antimatter for stabilization, maneuvering or adjusting for changes of load on board. Due to this it doesn't need any landing gear, simply tying it ti the landing spot is enough.
Weapon systems:
2 long range rail gun turrets
4 duo-fire 30mm attack/point defense mini-cannon turrets
2 hard points for mission specific payloads (missiles, sensors, gun inplacements etc.)
launch gear for a multitude of missiles, rockets, bombs, torpedoes, drones and cruise missiles in ventral loading bay
Inner hardpoints for electronic warfare equipment, sensors, or devices for electronic reconnaissance/espionage
Other equipment:
1 overlord radar/ sensor hyperdome
Advanced missile guiding system with friendly-fire warning programs and in-flight reaquiring system
Own sattelite for communication/navigation
Comfortable crew quarters for 35 crewmembers
6 additional rooms for mission equipment or quarters for special personnel
2 Escape pods for 20 persons each in ventral bay
Radar/sensor absorbing paint
Duoprop engine with antimatter/matter microboost
Other ships in this line besides the Athena itself are the:
Aphrodite
Hestia
Artemis
Demeter
Calypso
Gaia
Hera
Nike
All are currently in service of the Luftwaffe, but can be restationed to any country in the EU.

Since you asked me for some criticism, here goes... I like the general look of this thing, it looks like something from "Laputa castle in the sky", that was the first association that came to mind. I like the look of anchors and the little guy on the bottom, it gives this thing a sense of scale, also I like the details on the sensor mast. It would be nice if the thing was made in higher resolution, so you could zoom in on some of the details you mentioned, also if you made it bigger, you would have more room for pencil work on the details, but that part is my bias since I love zooming in on things Another thing that would be nice is if you made other angles, like a top view, front view etc, it would be easier to visualize the whole thing. Not much to add, but there it is
